Studying vocabulary words weekly is often tricky. I try to use the learning tool of "association" when little man gets stuck on a word. This week, the word of confusion was "dense."
"Just think of blood." I say.
"Ewww!" Little man says.
I go on to explain, "think of all the cells in blood. The cells are dense in blood."
Long pause from little man.
Then he asked, oh so quizzically, "What's a cell?"
I laughed all day.
